Halo Reach has some exciting changes in its weapons. Magnum, assault rifle, and sniper are returning back and the battle rifle is replaced by the Designated Marksman. Halo Reach has UNSC weapons, covenant weapons, and grenades. Some hot new technologies are being added in the Halo Reach weapons. Four new weapons are included in addition to the weapons used in the previous versions. The newly added weapons are Needle Sniper, Grenade Launcher, Focus Rifle, and Plasma Launcher.
Plasma Launcher:
Plasma Repeater is one of the newly introduced weapons, which is a little different than the original plasma rifle. The plasma rifle slows down when it gets heated up and it can only be reloaded whereas the Plasma Repeater can be recharged. It is capable of launching super-heated bolts and the bolt continues to track even after the death of its operator. Immediately after firing at a target it hones to the next location. Your target will definitely be decimated if it comes into play. You can find this weapon on sword base's middle bridge.
Focus Rifle:
This special applications rifle is an addition to the old sniper family. The focus rifle rips through the shields of your enemy by shooting concentrated beam at a long range. You can find this weapon on the concrete under the bridge. Nobody is sure about its functions but you will know its power if you point this rifle at somebody's head. It is like using a huge laser gun on the shoulder. This weapon is battery powered and its exact mechanism is under investigation.
Grenade Launcher:
M319 individual grenade launcher is a single shot weapon. Its caliber is 40mm. It can launch a devastating payload with its 40mm. rounds and if you hold the trigger after its launch it will not explode. So you can wait for your enemy to walk on it. It is difficult to control the rounds, but experts can do a huge damage.
Needle Rifle:
The Needle rifle is capable of firing unconventional, long, and sharp projectiles at your enemy. You can find this weapon laying everywhere in the beta. It is effective against medium and long range opponents. The projectiles will not stop detonating for several seconds after entering the soft tissue. They enter and explode only after a few seconds. Many snipers will love this rifle.
Designated Marksman Rifle:
The Designated Marksman rifle is a lean, headshot machine. It is deadly at middle to long range but at close it is unwieldy. Designated Marksman Rifle requires five shots for killing a person, where the last one should be nailed at the noggin.
Machine Gun:
This machine gun is of unknown kind. This is a new arrival in the Halo Reach arsenal. It will be effective against light vehicles and enemy forces.
Spartan Laser:
Spartan Laser is a very powerful beam weapon returning from Halo 3. It can toast anything in a single blow. It is one of the powerful and major weapons in Halo 3, but you should be skillful to use it properly.

About Halo Reach
Halo Reach is the latest installment in Bungie's popular Halo series of first person shooter games for Xbox 360. Its release on September 14th 2010 has been highly anticipated, especially with 3 different collector's editions. There's the Standard edition, which is just the game, the Limited edition which also unlocks bonus Elite armor in the game and the Legendary edition which includes the Elite armor, a bonus Spartan Recon helmet in the game and a 10 pound statue!
The game is a prequel to the original Halo trilogy, set just before the first game in 2552. Humanity is at war with a group of aliens known as the Covenant. By the this point in the war, humanity has lost most of its colonies. The game specifically centers on the battle for a planet similar to Earth that the game takes its name from, called Reach. The player is a member of a UNSC military force stationed on Reach, known as Noble Team, and is referred to only as "Noble 6".
The game has been in development for a while, accumulating a lot of new features and has been tested as a public beta version for a while, allowing Bungie to catch most of the game's bugs before official release. Those keeping watch on the games industry say it's going to have a big impact, maybe even turning out to be the highest selling game of 2010. Its only real contender for this title will be Call of Duty Black Ops, another FPS game from a popular series. In all likelihood, it's too early to tell who'll sell the most.
The most interesting new feature is the addition of Armor Abilities. These are additions to the player's armor that allows them to use invisibility, sprinting, a jetpack or any of the other abilities on offer. Multiplayer also has the loadout selction option, where you can choose your weapons and armor ability each time you respawn, as well as a system for voting on the next map, rather than the vetoing a random map system Halo 3 used. Multiplayer has players taking a side of the conflict, human Spartans or alien Elites, and competing for kills or objectives.
The prices for the different editions range from about $60 for Standard to $150 for the Legendary edition. If you're looking to get this game, you'll want to check online stores, since some offer discounts or promotions that could save you up to $20.
